Battle 6 Announcement
I must say I’m really excited about this foodie fights battle. The ingredients are a mix of seasonal and interesting. When Dan and I were choosing I must admit that I first thought these would be tough and might result in all the same dishes. But after I spent some time thinking and Dan spent some time educating me, I got on board pretty quickly.
So I present to you all, Battle Zucchini and Garam Masala!
I’m sure that everyone is familiar with zucchini, but for those that are unfamiliar with Garam Masala, you can read a primer here. There are many different kinds of the stuff and for this battle you can either use any brand that you find labeled that in the store or feel free to make your own obviously.
I’m also very excited for this battle because we have some really outstanding competitors (as always). For the first time here though we have a previous judge competing. That is definitely encouraged. The best way to gain street cred for any judge is to join the battle. As an aside (because many people have asked), the best way to become a judge is also to compete!
These are the brave competitors:
Again, if there is any curiosity, we always pick blogs for battles randomly unless you have competed in the most recent battle. But previous competitors along with judges can always sign up for future battles.
In fact, anyone can sign up for a future battle. Just fill out the simple sign up form.
Speaking of judges, one of the judges will be Caleb from Food Goes in Mouth – our winner from Battle 5. The second judge will be announced later!
So visit the competing sites, leave a comment, and think of what you would make with these interesting ingredients. Check back Tuesday, June 30th to see all the entries and vote for your favorite!
