Welcome to Foodie Fights!  We are taking a few months off from the site.  Why?

1.  During the time in between Thanksgiving and New Years with all the holidays, and Foodie Fights cycles lasting two weeks, we could only really fit one battle.  Nick and I decided that rather than having a lone battle in December, to just hold off till 2010.

2.  Nick and I have been wanting/needing to upgrade the website.  We have big ideas and already have a test server set up.  We decided to take this time off as an opportunity to make the upgrade.

So when does the Foodie Fight 2010 season start?  We are hoping for mid January, but I think February would be more realistic.  We plan on emailing all the past contestants and judges when the first battle is commencing, so if you want to be on the email list, fill out this form.

Another thing to check out is our hall of fame.  I am really proud of all of our competitors from the top to the bottom.  I studied each entry in every battle, and often had favorites that didn’t do as well, so you can imagine how much I love all of these blogs.   A big congrats has to go out to our 2009 Champion: Peggy from the blog “My Boyfriend Likes it, so it Must be Good“.  She was the only double winner, and finished with the second most points overall!

This seemingly random idea Nick and I had really turned into something wonderful that I would look forward to every week.  And something I would read the comments of and cringe . Week after week the battles impressed me more and more.  I cant wait to bring you guys something even better for next year.  I love the community that has formed here, and I really hope that we don’t lose anyone!  Get on the list people!  See you next year!
